Born and raised in southern Germany, Walt learned to bake from his mother, who introduced him to many of the region’s traditional delicacies from an early age. Continuing to bake following the loss of his parents became both a tribute to his family and a source of healing and creativity.

“Food has a unique ability to connect people. Some of the strongest memories we carry are built around sharing meals, celebrating milestones, or simply sitting together in the kitchen. Baking became a part of caring in our home.”

For almost ten years, Walt has worked as a dual registered foster carer and Shared Lives carer for Islington Council, creating a nurturing home environment where baking became a quiet way to build connection, trust and comfort.

Today, Walt combines those deeply personal roots with a modern visual identity, producing elegant handcrafted cakes and signature buttercream floral cupcakes so realistic they are mistaken for genuine bouquets.

Walt will continue supporting the wider Islington fostering and Shared Lives community, alongside local charities, schools and organisations working with children and families across London.
